Current Shows that I'm Watching

There's not many summer shows that I love, but I have found a few good ones:

The Hard Times of Rj Berger: This is sort of a guilty pleasure, for it is not the best show in the world. It comes on MTV and it is a comedy about a nerd's journey through high school. It is actually pretty funny, even if it is not the best acting or the best quality. It keeps me laughing and I have never before seen an MTV show that has intelligence, this one does.
61/100

Royal Pains: This is a fairly popular USA show that I started watching last year. It is not great either, but it is mildly entertaining. It is about a concierge doctor in the Hamptons, his brother, and his assistant. It is a little more unique than most hospital-esque dramas, but it can be really formulatic.

Sorry I have not been posting every single day, I will try starting today to keep up with it better.

Black Dynamite..wow.

Today I watched the critically acclaimed blaxploitation comedy "Black Dynamite". I am speechless after watching this film. It was completely insane, yet utterly hilarious. It is one of those films that succeeds at being ridiculous and stupid, while making you crack up. The writing behind this movie was actually very intelligent, making every detail perfect. It was the presentation that made it so dumb and hilarious.
With that being said, I went into this movie expecting a ton of laughs, and it completely delivered. But I have to warn anyone considering watching this film that it is very, very raunchy. However, if you can handle raunchiness it is actually very funny and clever. The action in this movie is spot on and really laughable. It started off a little too annoying for me, but I quickly warmed up to it and found it to be one of the funniest comedies I have seen.
This is a hard one to recommend, due to the zaniness of it, but for anyone open minded enough to see a crazy comedy with hilarious one liners, and great action; I strongly recommend you see this film. All the issues aside, it was completely hysterical.

New Boondocks, titled "Pause"

Tonight at 11:30 EST the new Boondocks episode aired. You may remember me blogging about a not so great episode last week, but this one is the complete opposite. It was hilarious! It started (and revolved around) a brilliant Tyler Perry satire. As a Tyler Perry fan, I found it especially funny. There were some moments of complete weirdness but I have come to germs with the fact that that is just the way the show is written. Tyler Perry, who was under a different name in the show, was portrayed as the leader of a cult. That part of the episode was partially weird and partially funny. Where it really excelled was in the hilarious view of Tyler Perry plays. There is also a Rocky Horror Picture Show reference! Overall it was a very funny episode of a unique show. While I liked it, I recognize that there is only a very specific audience that will enjoy it.

Quick Post (:

Hello everyone I just wanted to make a quick post explaining something that could possibly bring up some confusion. Sometimes the rating of the movie I am currently reviewing will earn a higher rating than one of my top ten films. That does not mean it replaces any spot in my top ten. It is based on the overall quality of the film, not specially how much I enjoyed it.

I'm back for good, with Toy Story 3!

Hey guys I'm sorry that I haven't really been doing my daily reviews. I was on vacation and very busy but I am back now and will do a daily review.
Tonight I saw Toy Story 3, the final chapter in Pixar's amazing series. It did not let me down a single bit. It was great! The story was amazing, there were great action scenes, there were so many touching moments! I cannot think of a better way I would've wanted the series to end. Some people have claimed that it was the best in the series, and I can definitely see why they would say that. Personally, I didn't find it to be the best in the series, but quality-wise it was on par with the first two. My main concern before seeing this was that it may be more childish than the past two, but it was not at all. I recommend it to everyone! Who doesn't love Toy Story?
It's really hard to score some movies, and for some reason this is one of them, but the score is somewhere along the lines of 100/100.
Also, I finished season one of "Nurse Jackie" which I learned was the only season currently out. It was very, very good, but somewhat depressing. My opinions of many characters shifted, especially Jackie. It was a little but predictable, yet still good. It was a good way to end the season, and keep you wanting to come back for more. I am highly anticipating season two.
Lastly, on my plane home I watched the popular teen comedy "Superbad". This was not my first time watching this film, I have seen it many times, but I thought I would review it now. It's really one of those classic sex comedies and it is written with intelligence. It kind of goes over the top at times with the dialogue, but it will always keep you laughing. The story is not nearly as predictable as you would think, and the acting is really well done. It is not a perfect movie, with some juvenile moments and misfired jokes, but when it shines, it is hysterically funny. There is also great chemistry between the leads, but sometimes the high school setting seems painfully unrealistic. Aside from those negative facets, it is a pretty good movie. I would probably give it an 84/100.
That is all I really have for today, but I will be back tomorrow with some more content. Thank you all for your patience while I was away.
